ISO 9001-type quality process, research conducted in partnership with industry
Overview
The loading facilities are highly varied and make it possible to test materials from low to very high strain rates, under uniaxial loading as well as complex and multiaxial loading. All tests are instrumented with cameras, which may be high-speed, high-resolution or thermal, and whose images are processed by analysis algorithms (DIC in particular). Research carried out within PREED is generally conducted in partnership with industry.
Experimental facilities for your industrial and academic studies
These facilities are dedicated to:
01
Dynamic and quasi-static characterisation of the mechanical behaviour of materials
02
Study of target impacts by various projectiles (elastomer ball, metal part, ice) at more than 300 m/s
03
Structural crash testing
All activities follow an ISO 9001-type quality process.
Flagship equipment
A selection of the platform’s equipment. The complete, up-to-date list is kept in the GeM directory of experimental facilities.
Key projects
PhD thesis

Experimental testing of masonry structures subjected to extreme loads
PhD thesis: A. Morsel, supervisors: Stefanou, Kotronis, Racineux
Industrial chair
Sealance Chair

The Sealence industrial chair aims to develop a unified formulation for compressible and incompressible elastomeric materials. Specific equipment has been developed, in particular to measure the compressibility of elastomers.
