GeM is fully committed to open science, a movement driven in France by the National Plan for Open Science and by the laboratory’s supervising institutions, CNRS, Centrale Nantes and Nantes Université. The laboratory encourages open access to its publications, in particular by depositing their full text in the HAL open archive, and the sharing of the data and code produced by its research whenever possible.
The chart below shows, for each year since 2020, how the laboratory’s publications are distributed by access type: green open access (deposit in an open archive such as HAL), open-access journals (gold, and diamond with no publication fees for authors), open-access articles in subscription journals (hybrid) or articles made freely available by the publisher without an open licence (bronze).
