PRIIC-MER: Integrated regional platform for marine construction engineering
The Integrated Regional Platform for Marine Construction Engineering, commonly known as PRIIC-MER, was funded under the 2015-2020 State-Region Planning Contract (CPER). This integrated platform project aims to strengthen, through dedicated equipment, the areas of excellence relating to the degradation, behaviour and instrumentation of offshore materials and structures, taking uncertainties and variability into account.
Programme
CPER 2015–2020
Themes
Degradation, behaviour and instrumentation of offshore materials and structures
Co-funding
ERDF, Pays de la Loire Region
Key strengths
Deep sea
Developing the experimental testing of materials and structures in deep-sea conditions
Construction materials
In-depth characterisation, for sustainable construction in the marine environment
Foundation soils
Detailed analysis of the soil on which the structures will stand
Uncertainties
Uncertainties and variability taken into account
Ambition
Its ambition is to develop the experimental testing of materials and structures in deep-sea conditions.
This approach is based on a clear vision focused on two key aspects of sustainable construction in the marine environment: in-depth characterisation of construction materials and detailed analysis of the soil on which the structures will stand.
Dedicated equipment acquired under the CPER PRIIC-MER
Funding
This platform was funded under the 2015-2020 State-Region Planning Contract (CPER).
