Marinelle El Khoury prepared her thesis at GeM at Centrale Nantes under the supervision of the professors Frédéric Grondin and Emmanuel Rozière and Libanese University under the supervision of Prof. Fadi Hage Chehade and Dr Rachid Cortas. Her work has focused on the study of the chemo-mechanical behaviour of cementitious materials in marine areas.
She received on 7th September 2022, the Best paper prize in the category ‘’Durability and Materials / Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment’’ awarded by the International Federation for Structural Concrete during 14th fib PhD symposium which took place in Roma for her paper untitled ‘’New protocol for the durability assessment of offshore cement-based structures submitted to creep and seawater attack‘’.
