Fault dynamics, earthquake control and structural vulnerability

This axis deals with the development of theoretical and numerical methods, coupled with laboratory tests, for modeling the dynamics of seismic sliding and its control. It is also concerned with the development of simplified modeling strategies for the vulnerability of reinforced concrete structures, in order to qualify their resistance and safety under severe seismic loading at low cost.
