On October 9 and 10, 2025, the GeM hosted the 7ᵉ edition of the Journées Jeunes Chercheuses et Chercheurs en Éco-composites et Composites Biosourcés on the Heinlex Campus in Saint-Nazaire.
Over the two days, 26 participants (mainly doctoral and post-doctoral students) attended presentations on the theme of biosourced materials applied to the field of composite materials, including an invited lecture by Antoine Le Duigou (IRDL – UBS) on biomimicry.
The convivial format of these days encouraged direct and constructive exchanges, strengthening links between young researchers from different laboratories.

These Young Researchers’ Days, organized under the aegis of the Association pour les Matériaux Composites (AMAC) and association Mécamat, confirm their essential role :
- Promote and follow up on the work of laboratories, with a focus on young researchers,
- Encourage regular exchanges between participants to enrich knowledge and collaboration,
- Stimulate interdisciplinarity and the transfer of expertise between different fields of research,
- Identify opportunities to promote the industrialization of bio-based materials.
