François Bignonnet, Associate professor at GeM in Saint-Nazaire, is currently visiting professor at Czech Technical University in Prague.

He will present his research activities on April 11, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 at CTU. The seminar is available online (see link below).

His work is related to the development of mean and full-field homogenization methods for upscaling material properties of porous media, such as their stiffness, yield strength, diffusion coefficient, or permeability. These methods are applied to some problems covered by the GeM, such as the durability of concrete in aggressive environments or internal erosion in natural soils.
