Integrated Regional Platform for Marine Construction Engineering
The Integrated Regional Platform for Marine Construction Engineering, commonly known as PRIIC‐MER, is part of the 2015–2020 State-Region Planning Contract (CPER).
This integrated platform project aims to strengthen, through dedicated equipment, areas of excellence relating to the degradation, behaviour and instrumentation of offshore materials and structures, taking uncertainties and variability into account. Its ambition is to develop experimental testing of materials and structures in deep-sea environments.
The approach is based on a clear vision centred on two key aspects of sustainable construction in the marine environment: in-depth characterisation of construction materials and detailed analysis of the soil on which the structures will stand.
